Bemisia tabaci (Silverleaf Whitefly, Sweet Potato Whitefly) is an important agricultural pest [1-2]. Major crops affected on a global scale include cotton, cassava, tomato, sweet potato, cucurbits. This whitefly is actually a species complex containing at least 24 morphologically indistinguishable species [3]. It has worldwide distribution including Singapore [4].
